Your Guide to Personalizing the Right Way
We want every fan to have fun creating custom gear that celebrates their athlete or team. To keep things fair, respectful, and legally safe for everyone, here’s what’s allowed (and what’s not) when personalizing your order.
You Can Include
1. Athlete Photos
Upload your own photos of your athlete in action. Whether it's a game-day shot, a senior portrait, or a candid moment, just make sure it's your photo (or you have permission to use it).
2. Names and Numbers
Add your athlete's name, nickname, jersey number, or graduation year to make it feel official. You can also include short phrases like "#12's Biggest Fan" or "Proud Mom"
3. Sport Details
Celebrate their sport with words or phrases like "Football Dad" or "Basketball Sister". Generic sport terms and fan sayings are always welcome.
4. Team or School Colors
Use your athlete's team colors or school-inspired palettes to create a coordinated look and feel. Just steer clear of official logos or wordmarks.
Do Not Include
1. Standalone School or Organization Logos
You can absolutely use photos of your athlete wearing their uniform - that's part of their story! But uploading school logos or mascots by themselves isn't allowed unless you have written permission.
2. Official Team Names or Wordmarks
Licensed or trademarked team names (like "Eagles", "Bulldogs", or "Crimson Tide") can't be printed unless you own the rights to them. Generic alternatives like "Go Team" or "Friday Night Lights" are totally fine. Celebrities, influencers, or public figures are also not allowed.
3. Images of Other People's Children
For privacy and safety reasons, please only upload photos of your own athlete or those you have explicit permission to use. You’ll be asked to check a box during customization certifying that you have the right to use the imagery of the person shown.
4. Copyrighted or Trademarked Images
That includes branded artwork, slogans, or graphics pulled from the internet, unless you created them yourself or own the rights.
5. Inappropriate or Offensive Content
Designs containing profanity, hate speech, or discriminatory language, or anything that promotes harm or violence will not be printed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a photo that includes my child's teammates?
Yes — if your photo includes teammates in the background, that’s perfectly fine! We often remove backgrounds from uploaded images during the design process, so those other athletes won’t appear in the final product. However, if other athletes are clearly visible in the main photo and part of the design, you’ll need permission from their parents or guardians before submitting the image.
Can I use my school's logo or mascot if it's in the photo?
Yes, if the logo appears naturally on your athlete's uniform in a photo, that's perfectly fine. You just can't upload or recreate the logo itself as a separate design element.
What happens if my design includes something that's not allowed?
If we notice something in your design that doesn’t meet our guidelines, our team will reach out before printing. You’ll have the option to adjust or replace the image — we won’t cancel without contacting you first.
What kind of photos print best?
Use clear, high-resolution images with good lighting and contrast. Avoid screenshots or blurry images. Sharp well-lit photos produce the best results on apparel.
Can I get a preview before my item is printed?
We don’t provide digital previews before printing. However, our team carefully reviews each order to ensure images, text, and details meet our design and quality standards. To get the best results, double-check your upload, spelling, and placement details before submitting your order.
